Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #37

Spray Free Farmacy home delivery gourmet groceries and organic produce buy online

Well hasn’t Spring well and truly sprung? We’re excited to see everything blossoming around us! 🌞

We wanted to give a shoutout to our long-term friends Randal and Juanita, at Echo Valley Farms, for their amazing work in setting up their on-farm butchery and meat processing facility. They put a mammoth effort into their crowd funding campaign and they made it happen! We are so happy for them.

We'll soon have a lot more of their meat to offer including steak, roasts, offal and mince and sausages with liver (for added iron). This is meat you can feel great about eating because it's not only good for you but the land and the farmer too. And it's been grown in the most ethical way possible with no stress on the animal. You can read more about the 4Goods Meathouse here. 🌱🥩

While we wait for the new meat range, Echo Valley won't have any bacon for us for the rest of this month. But don't worry, we've got something special lined up for you. We’ve been introduced to another amazing regenerative farming family, Nick and Brydie of Belvedere Farm, who happen to be good friends with Randal and Juanita (and Tanya at The Indie Bakehouse). 😲 So, we’ll be keeping it in the family as we temporarily supply the gorgeous Belvedere Farm nitrate-free bacon, starting from next week. We can't wait to share some of the Belvedere Farm story with you. 🧑‍🌾🚜

FROM THE FARMS 🍎🍐🥦

Due to recent hailstorms, availability of some lines has been affected this week. Availability will likely be impacted over the coming weeks while these early storms are hanging around.

In that vein, we sadly won't have any pink lady apples this week, but we recommend trying the Red Delicious apples as a sweet alternative. 🍎

On the bright side, Farmer Nigel’s Hass Avocados have grown in size, and he now has plenty of the standard size fruit available for you to enjoy. 🥑 Nigel’s Farm, Mt Nathan Avocados, is based in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

And as a special treat this week, we have Lemonade Fruits! These certified organic fruits are grown by the Fraser Family just outside of Byron, NSW. They may look like lemons, but their low acidity makes them naturally sweet and not sour at all. Feel free to eat them straight, add them to a fruit salad, or use their zest 🍋.

GROCERY UPDATE 🥖🥚🛒

Did someone say new products? ✨💖 Yep! We've got three great new products to share with you!

Nutra Organics Natural Gelatin Powder. This amazing powder is packed with amino acids and promotes skin, joint, hair, nail, and gut health. 🍵

Wilderbalm Organic Botanical Insect Repellent. 🌱 It's as gentle on the environment as it is on your skin, and it's fortified with natural insect-repelling essential oils like Lavender, Citronella, and Tea Tree. 🦟

Riverbell Cottage Liquid Hand & Body Soap. We love the natural, vegan soap bars from Riverbell Cottage, and we know that this gentle, effective, and versatile liquid version is also going to be a winner.  It's gentle enough to use on the most delicate skin, but effective enough for general cleaning around the house.  🛁

Also, we've restocked the much-loved Hampton Blue Raspberry Jam. It’s like spreading liquid raspberries on your toast (or your Sourdough Crumpet as we like to do!) so make sure to grab a jar before it's gone! 🍓

Thank you for being part of our close-knit Spray-Free family! Your dedication to making healthy choices and supporting organic foods makes a difference not just for you and your family, but also for our environment and farmers. 🌿

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead filled with delicious and wholesome meals! 🥕🥦🍓🍅🌽🍎🍋
