Gut-loving Chocolate Jellies
Packed with good fats and amino acids, these low sugar jellies make a fantastic snack to have in the fridge at all times! Great for lunchboxes too.I've perfected them! After some experimentation, I've come up with my simplest, most delicious chocolate jelly recipe so far.
These are a huge hit with my kids and everyone else who's tried them. I took a plate to a Blessingway yesterday and everyone wanted the recipe - so here it is.
It's low in sugar and high in good fats so eat as many as you want!
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Gelatin (we recommend Changing Habits Organic Gelatin Powder)
- 100ml filtered water
- 3 tablespoons Cacao
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
- 300ml Coconut Milk (tinned or Coco Quench)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 tablespoon Honey
Method
Throw all ingredients in your Thermomix and heat at 80C on speed 2 for 6 minutes. Pour into moulds and set in the fridge.
If you don't have a Thermomix, stir the mixture in a saucepan on the stove for about 8 minutes (don't bring to the boil). Stir with a whisk to remove any lumps.
