Homeward Bound Workshops
There are some huge changes going on this year, and for many of us, we are being granted this moment in time to anchor more deeply into our own homes and to take greater responsibility for our sovereignty - our health, food and sustainability.
This is a vital opening for us. A coming HOME. A deep dive into creating more nourishing and wholesome spaces. This is medicine for our times – we are homeward bound.
Our Homeward Bound - Homegrown Healer Series are intimate (only 15 people in each workshop) and specialised, where you get to go deep and learn about simple, yet potent, home healing endeavours – for your health, your body, your soul. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, get your hands messy and bring home a jar (or two) of your own remedies, under the guidance of practiced fermenters, health professionals, herbalists and homegrown healers.

Workshop 1: Wild Fermentation - 12 September
With a few simple techniques, we will show you how to ferment just about anything you receive in your Spray-Free Farmacy box, or in your pantry. You will learn how to ferment vegetables (sauerkraut and kimchi), a ginger bug, seasonal shrub syrup, fire cider and tepache. Then get ready to roll up your sleeves and craft your own medicinal honey ferments: working with this sticky, liquid-gold delight, head-to-toe home-remedy, we will be tasting old and new honey comb from our own bee hives, straining the honey and making two medicinal herbal concoctions. One for colds and flus, and a fermented honey and garlic blend.
Participants will leave with generous jars of deliciousness to use medicinally and culinary in your homes.
We will also explore how to save money by preparing your own elixirs and how to purchase, grow and forage herbs, and any questions regarding quality.
