Apples - Granny Smith Spray-Free (Large, single)

Apples are high up on the dirty dozen list as conventional ones are sprayed with loads of nasty chemicals. Ours are grown without the use of any chemicals by Denis Angelo in Stanthorpe. Denis has been growing without chemicals for about 30 years now. 

Sometimes our fruit and vegetables, including apples, will have blemishes and won't look shiny and perfect like they do in the supermarkets, but they are a taste sensation like the fruit from our childhoods.

Did you know apples only grow in Australia between approximately January and April/May? Australian farmers ensure a year round supply of apples by keeping some in cold storage for the later months. They're still good but of course the best time to enjoy them is when they're fresh off the trees!
