You've most likely heard that quote before, and as straight-shooting as it is... it couldn't be more true.
Whether that be planning the kids' lunch and school drop offs, organising our delivery route, or what's for dinner... planning is a crucial part of everyday life.
Unfortunately we live in a time (2021) where it seems we could go into lockdown at any point and the shelves of the supermarkets would be cleared from everything except the kitchen sink.
Rather than being caught in the lurch, we recommend stocking up your pantry for a rainy day. Not from fear, but rather from preparedness.
I've seen too many posts on social media of people who haven't been able to get food because everyone rushed to the supermarkets which is heartbreaking to see.
The way to avoid this, is to slowly stockup and buy long-life food for your pantry. It's a good practice to do anyway, and it gives such a strong sense of food security and abundance.
We've put together a list of staples that we believe everyone should have in their pantry just incase. Plus some essentials to have in your fridge and freezer.
If anything funky happened, we would personally be ok for 6 months without leaving the house or going to the shops. It's a great feeling knowing that.
Of course you can take things further and buy things like a gas cooker, generator or water purifier... but you'll have to do your own research on that.
The good news is, most of these items you'll find on our online store. We've highlighted those ones in bold to make it easier to find.
