We hope you've had a fantastic week filled with wholesome moments!
We had a really awesome time yesterday at a special advance screening and Q&A session for a new documentary that will land in cinemas this week. It’s called Rachel's Farm and follows actress and producer (and accidental farmer) Rachel Ward on her journey from wilful ignorance about the ecological impacts of conventional agriculture on her rural property, to embracing a movement to restore the health of Australia’s farmland, food and climate. We loved it so much we're actually planning to host our own screening soon - watch this space!

GROCERY UPDATE
August is (almost) here, and you know what that means - it's time for the Ekka! While we're all excited about those classic strawberry sundaes, we've got something even better to satisfy your sweet craving - Strawberry COYO! It's a creamy, dreamy delight that's 100% organic and utterly delicious. Think thick, rich coconut yoghurt swirled with real fruit strawberry delight! Treat yourself and your loved ones to this guilt-free, fruity indulgence.
The start of August also means that we will have new mouth-watering specials from Tanya at Indie Bakehouse! We’ll be sharing those throughout the week on our Farmacy Family FB Group – including the one we’re most excited about; Strawberry Rose Butterscotch!
Speaking of new products, we also have something fresh and fabulous for your self-care routine! We have 2 new scents of the much-loved Riverbell Cottage 100% vegan handmade soap - Lemon & Poppyseed and Sage & Gum. Your skin will thank you, and the environment will too, as these soaps are made with love and without any harmful chemicals.
Lastly, an update on the egg front. You may have noticed egg prices have gone crazy just about everywhere and this is largely because the costs to the farmers have increased exponentially in the last 12 months. Echo Valley was the last to put their prices up so we had to follow suit and have increased our price to $11.75 dozen. I remember when they were were only $8!
We also haven't been able to keep up with demand lately and have been selling out every week. So we're excited to introduce a second egg farmer this week - Mt Lion Eggs from Lynchs Creek in the Northern Rivers, NSW. Like Echo Valley, this is a regenerative farm where the chickens are rotated on unsprayed pastures and supplemented with organic feed. There's such an interesting story to this farm - it's owned by about 50 families! Community ownership really is happening - we'll share more about this fascinating development in coming weeks
