Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #9

Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #9

Happy Monday!

It's the second last day of Summer and a beautiful day to take a moment to go outside, plant your feet on the earth and give thanks for the opportunity to be here, in this body, on this day - life is good! (Actually you should do this everyday - you'll reap the rewards by becoming a magnet for the things you want). Do it now!

We are super grateful this week to have found a new driver to join our team. Chay-Ya Clancy who recently relocated from Melbourne is going to be taking over Tess's run. Chay-Ya also happens to be a Personal Chef and Chocolatier 😮 If you know me you know I'm highly addicted to chocolate, so needless to say I'm pretty keen to help Chay-Ya find a new commercial kitchen to make her marvellous creations from so we can all enjoy them! Watch this space.

PRODUCE UPDATE 🍎

Let's just rip the bandaid off with the sad news upfront - the season for Peaches and Nectarines is over! The good news is we've got our hands on some yummy Sugar Plums this week and we have plenty more Dragonfruit and Grapes.

Next week our Pineapples should be ready!

Roma Tomatoes and Zucchini are hugely abundant at the moment so we have some really good specials on these again this week.

GROCERY UPDATE 🛒

We have some seriously yummy new products from Woodland Valley Farms for you to try this week - Chocolate Custard, Duck Egg Custard, Zucca Pasta Sauce and their very own Egg Mayonnaise.

We got to chat with Farmer Fabian last week and he shared his journey from egg farmer to pasta maker (he still does both). They had an excess of eggs so they thought what better use for them than pasta - hello Pasta-Bah!

Fabian is really dedicated to sourcing the highest quality ingredients for everything he creates. He experimented with many different oils for his mayonnaise before settling on grapeseed oil. Most mayonnaise is made with canola oil which we all know is highly toxic - grapeseed oil on the other hand is considered to be high in vitamin E and antioxidants. It's also a by-product of the wine industry so from a sustainability perspective it's fantastic. Combined with Fabian's pasture-raised eggs, it tastes delicious!

Wishing you amazing health and happiness,
Kristen x
