Farmacy Weekly Report 2024 Week #20

We hope you’ve had a cozy weekend and are ready to embrace the sudden cold snap! Winter is definitely on its way. ❄️ 

Kristen is currently on an incredible adventure, hiking the ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail in Japan. Up and down huge mountains and walking further than she’s ever walked! 🏞️ At the moment, she’s staying in an organic hotel in Takahara, enjoying the most delicious food, including (her favourites) shiitake mushrooms grown on logs outside the hotel, wild-harvested ferns, and local fish. 🐟🍄 She’s discovering so much about Japanese cuisine and pushing well past her comfort zone.

Back here at home, we’ve got plenty of delicious food for you to enjoy this week, as always! 😊

This week, we’re thrilled to bring you Red Cabbage from our friends at Fordsdale Organic Farm (South of Gatton). Certified organic, this crunchy addition is perfect for any salad or burger. You can grab yours whole, or in half or quarter pieces!

Exciting news for banana lovers! We’ve got a brilliant special on Cavendish Bananas this week. You can pick up a whole kilogram of goodness for just $6.50! Our bananas don’t wear pyjamas, but they come from Tony Lindsay in Wamuran, who’s been farming with his dad and granddad since he was just a kid. 🥳🍌

From the McInnerney Family in the Darling Downs Regions we’ve added a huge range of beautiful lamb for you to enjoy with your family. 🐑 Macintyre Brook Lamb is raised free-range and green pastured with the utmost care and consideration for the animals and the land. 🌿 You can read more about their story here.
