Farmacy Weekly Report Week #32Purple Sprouting Broccolini, Microgreens & Vegan Cheese
Happy Monday! What a glorious weekend that was.
We were lucky enough to venture around the Samford Edible Garden Trial on Saturday, checking out some small farms and fabulous backyard gardens.
It was so inspiring that today Trev and I are building our own worm farm in the front yard. To the left is what we're aiming for - a bin with holes in the sides, dug into the garden. Fill it with food scraps and dry matter the worms make fast work of it!
I'll share some more pics on social media in the hopes it may inspire others too. If you're still putting food scraps in the bin - it's time to find a better solution!
Microgreens are back this week but with only 10 of each type available you'll need to get in really quick for these. We also have Purple Sprouting Broccolini from our farmers at Laidley - only $4.50 per bunch.
We are working on getting you some Strawberries asap - unfortunately our usual farmers have found theirs are too fragile at the moment. We only want to send you the best!
New this week we have Damona's range of Dairy Free, Vegan Cheese. There are lots to choose from including Cream Cheese, Bocconcini, Pepperjack and American Cheddar.
We've also added some more spices in shaker jars (as the pouches are increasingly hard to come by) and a funky new sponge cloth (how cute are these?!).
From Sovereign Foods we now have Almond Flour as well as all the other Almond products. Almond Flour is delicious in gluten-free baking.
WANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for a very special person to work with us at Rocklea on Wednesdays. Just the 1 day per week at this stage. Must have excellent Excel and Word skills (particularly in mail merge), own reliable laptop and be able to commit to being at Rocklea every Wednesday by 8am. You will also need to be willing to help unpack deliveries, pack boxes and even jump in and do some deliveries if needed.
If that sounds like you - please email me at email@example.com.
Wishing you amazing health and happiness,
