Christmas is nearly here but for many children that's nothing to get excited about. So many children in our own community miss out not only gifts but the basics they really need like school supplies, clothing and shoes.
Be An Elf is a wonderful local charity, run entirely by volunteers, that helps disadvantaged and homeless children in Brisbane. Their annual Christmas appeal allows children and teens to write a wish list to Santa, which is then filled by generous donors.
Most charity Christmas appeals have cut-off dates but Be An Elf is still getting letters from disadvantaged children and we're on a mission to help them deliver to every one of these children but we need your help!
On Saturday 24 December we'll be delivering a bunch of gifts, fresh food and hopefully a generous cash donation to this wonderful charity, who are also kindly putting on a Christmas lunch for children who have nowhere else to go on Christmas Day.
Here's how you can help:
- Make a monetary donation into our account below with the description "Be An Elf donation" - every cent donated will go directly to the charity.
- Ask us for a wish letter then go shopping for 1, 2 or more children. Deliver your gift directly to Be An Elf at Eagleby or to any of our Thursday or Friday pick up points this week (we will then deliver to them for you).
Time is of the essence here so please take one of these actions now! Email us to ask for a wish letter. They have also asked if we can help gather some specific items that are missing from some of the gifts already delivered so we will need people prepared to go shopping for these too.
We have such a beautiful Farmacy community, I know we can do a lot to help this wonderful charity.

Thank you and Merry Christmas.
