What do you enjoy about farming?
Fresh air, hard work, customers, delicious berries.
Why did you decide to farm without chemical sprays?
We have always farmed without chemical sprays. It was the way our family wanted it.
What challenges has this created for you and how do you overcome them naturally?
Weed maintenance is the most difficult (overcome with steam weeder, manual weeding and mulch). Also, fruit fly (overcome with wild may).
What’s your favourite meal?
Apple and raspberry crumble or blueberry pie - of course!
