Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #30

Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #30

Happy Monday Farmacy Fam ☀️

We’re super excited this week because we have a special visit planned to see our friend Farmer Ashely from Mount Cotton Organic Farm! 🧑‍🌾 We’ll be taking some of our newer team members to visit Ashley and his family-run farm for a mini farm tour and education session – plus, we’ll be getting loads of photos while we’re there for our new website. 📸 The farm is beautiful and picturesque, and we can’t wait to share some of those images with you soon!

A BIG thank you to everyone who heard our call last week and returned reusable packing supplies! Our delivery team was thrilled to see so much packaging coming back our way. 📦❤️ If you have more than a handful of boxes to return, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure we have enough space in the van during your home delivery (or even better, set yourself an reminder to return them every week!).

PRODUCE UPDATE 🍎🍐🥦

You know what they say, size matters, so we’re delighted to let you know that we now have big, juicy 500gm punnets of delicious Luvaberry strawberries available🍓. We know many of you buy multiple small punnets, and we know you’ll prefer to be able to reduce your plastic consumption by purchasing the BIGGER punnet size.

If you REALLY love strawberries, we can also get 4kg boxes for $95! These have to be ordered by Monday - email us if you'd like one.

We’re still seeing an abundant supply of Sebago Potatoes which has led to an excellent price on those - just $3.95kg. Our Sebago Potatoes are grown in black soil from the team at Black Crow Organics in the Lockyer Valley and are certified organic. 🥔

We’ve ordered some certified organic Baby Broccoli from Frais Farms this week. 💡Did you know, Baby Broccoli is a misnomer; it’s not actually the same plant as Broccoli but an entirely different hybrid plant that was created by crossing regular Broccoli with Chinese Kale. We reckon it's a pretty clever creation.

GROCERY UPDATE 🥚🍞🥛

Exciting news for all Indie Bread Lovers (that’s all of us, right?) 😉 The last of Tanya's July specials have arrived, and it's a winner – Dark Chocolate Cherry Organic Sourdough. Toast it to perfection and add butter to savour the delightful combination of rich chocolate and sweet cherries. 🍒 Whether you enjoy it for breakfast, or a sweet after-dinner snack, this Black Forrest-esq beauty will leave you craving more.

In other happy news for chocolate lovers, we’ve popped a special discount on Gevity Chocolate – Salted Caramel. 🍫 Gevity chocolate has been flying off our shelves since we introduced it a few weeks ago, so if you haven’t tried it yet, what better time than now?

In other updates, the last two weeks we’ve seen some regular favourites unavailable from SOL Breads. The team there are facing some challenges securing ingredients needed for some of their lines. Rest assured, we're in close contact with them, checking product availability twice a week to ensure that we have your favourites available if they’re in production.
