Farmacy Weekly Report Week #9 2022

Week #9 - deliveries from 4-6 March 2022 (order by midnight Wednesday)

Hi Foodies

How have you weathered the storm? Our hearts are breaking today for all those who have lost their lives, their homes, their farms, their businesses and all their belongings in these floods.

Many of our farmers have been impacted including our Mushroom Farmer at Woodford, our Cabbage and Kale Farmers at Laidley and our Garlic Farmer at Gatton to name a few.

Thankfully Farmer Kel's place near Woodford is ok, as is Farmer Ash at Mt Cotton, but many seedlings and other crops have been lost because of the rain and we will see the impact of this carry through over the coming month.

Highways both north and south are blocked making it difficult for all our other farmers to get their produce to us and at the moment, we can't even get to our warehouse as so many roads around Rocklea are blocked.

The good news is our warehouse hasn't gone under water - phew!

CHANGE TO DELIVERY DAYS - This week only

To cope with all this, and allow time for roads to clear and produce to arrive, we're pushing back all our deliveries by 1 day this week. So if you usually get your order on Thursday, it'll be Friday this week, Friday will be Saturday and Saturday will be Sunday.

Orders will be open till Midnight WEDNESDAY, giving you extra time to order this week.

PRODUCE AVAILABILITY

Due to all the rain and flooding, a lot of produce we usually stock is not available this week including fresh herbs, spinach, rocket, mushrooms and kale to name a few items. 

The good new is we still have more than 50 different varieties of produce and loads of grocery items for you including organic milk, eggs, bread, honey and everything else you need for super healthy meals at home.

We've also added some yummy new Easter products and GOOD FISH. We're really excited to add sustainably sourced fish to our grocery range for you.

THE RECOVERY

To everyone who is cleaning up today or still waiting to gain access to their home, business, farm - we send you so much love. If we can be of any help please reach out. We have a highly engaged Facebook Group (our Farmacy Family) who are always willing to help out with donations for those in need.

🛒 GROCERY UPDATE

Easter is not far away so we've added some yummy new Easter products for you including:

• SOL Hot Cross Buns - regular and GF varieties
• Vitawerx Keto Chocolate Bunnies - Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate
• Carob Kitchen Easter Eggs.

Yum!

We've also added Good Fish to our range. We love their Sardines, Mackerel and Salmon. Did you know most people aren't getting enough DHA to fuel their brains effectively? Wild caught fish is a great source of this important vitamin.
