It’s the last week of summer, so now’s the time to soak up the last of that sweet early morning sunshine and summer fruit before autumn brings a whole new lineup of fresh produce. 🍂 Autumn seasonal produce list coming soon. 

In the meantime, here’s what’s happening behind the scenes at Spray-Free this week…

From The Farms 🧑🌾

Let’s hear it for the ultimate green underdog... Shepard Avocados! 🥑 While they sometimes get a bit of shade for not being Hass avos, we think they deserve some more credit. They stay fresh and green long after cutting, have a mild, creamy flavour, and are perfect for salads and toast. 
 
We’re also still feeling the egg shortage across the country, and you might’ve noticed the bare shelves at the supermarket. This is exactly why small, local food systems matter. When we rely on giant corporations that prioritise profit over sustainability, one disruption can leave us all scrambling (pun intended). 🍳 We need farmers who care about their animals and the people they feed—thank you for supporting them with us!

Spray-Free Box Glow-up 📦

Expansion plans… in progress! 🚀 Our very own Spray-Free Farmacy branded cardboard boxes should be arriving this week! 🎉 These will be part of our expansion as we prepare to deliver to new areas, but Brisbane folks will continue receiving orders in our usual packaging for now.

We’ve had tons of interest from folks on the Sunny Coast and Toowoomba, so if you’re in these regions and want us to deliver to you, be sure to register your interest here! 🌱💚 here. 

Other Important Bits 📝

🚨Cleopatra Bath Milk has informed us that they’ll be in short supply for a little while, so we’re limiting it to 2 bottles per customer for now. They’re super popular, so make sure you grab yours before they go. 
 
🍉 Last call for summer fruit! Cooler mornings are creeping in, which means new autumn produce is on its way. Stay tuned for our seasonal lineup reveal next week!
